A 10-foot iPhone cable might seem excessive…but trust me, it’s NOT.

Ever since we moved to our new house, I haven’t been able to use my phone in bed, because the closest plug is halfway across the room.  Enter the aptly named “Reach Cables” 10 (yes, TEN) foot lightning charge cable.  I appreciated the opportunity Reach Cables gave me to test this cable for them!

I was really looking forward to receiving this, because the woven design looks really spiffy and durable in the Amazon photos.  I wasn’t quite as impressed as I thought once I actually received it, but it still seems to be a solid product.  I will update this review if it proves less durable than I hope.

The braided cord is fairly sturdy and stiff overall, which can be a little awkward but probably adds to its durability.  The weak points of every cable I’ve ever owned are right at the connection points between cable and plug – I twisted and bent this cable to see how it stood up, and one end seemed sturdy.  The other, however, was a little looser and I’m concerned the wiring inside might break over time, but we’ll see how it lasts.

There is a visible seam on the plastic plug.  While this doesn’t affect usage, it makes the cord look and feel a little cheaper.
So far, it works well to charge my phone, with none of the error messages I’ve seen with some other cables that aren’t MFi certified.  If I have problems, though, I’ll definitely let you know!

All in all, this seems to be a good cord.  I LOVE the length.  I like the appearance of the braided cord, it adds some nice variety.  It’s not perfect, but it’s functional, which matters most to me.  So let’s give it 4 out of 5 stars!

I received a free sample of this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.  I welcome your questions & comments on my experience, and hope this review was helpful to you!
